A crazy week at THE PLAYERS included carnage on 17 (1:48), Rory admitting he may be hitting too hard (5:03), a Sunday rematch with more carnage (7:26), and Justin Thomas returning to the winner's circle.
Around the rest of the golf world, Dustin Johnson bows out of The Summer Olympics (11:17), The Masters axes the Par 3 contest again (13:06), past guests Fredrik Lindblom and Hannah Gregg make the best of an internet troll (14:26), and Alex is ready for the Dell Match Play in another week (16:38).
This weekend the PGA Tour finishes the Florida Swing at the Honda Classic, where an emptier field is ripe for the picking (19:32).
Alex is "Tuned In" to music on MTV and the Grammys, while Michael is excited for The Oscars (21:10).
Alex and Michael have said time and time again how much they love the European Tour, and this week Euro Tour Pro Rhys Enoch comes on the podcast to talk about life on tour across Europe, and what is was like playing the 2019 PGA Championship at Pebble Beach (24:14).
NFL free agency is upon us, and Alex's Patriots are all over it, which makes Alex a little confused (48:49).

Bryson Delivers the Beef and Hardy

Bryson DeChambeau was cookin' early and often as he smoked his drives and claimed victory at the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill (1:36). The return of fan roars certainly made this week one of the most fun on tour. Bryson's win also was Alex's third pick to bring home the beef in the past five weeks.
Around the horn, the LPGA has a winner that isn't one of the Korda sisters (6:13), past guest Joseph Winslow wins again (7:33), and Alex provides an update to the upcoming Dell Match Play (8:57).
This weekend is THE PLAYERS, where golf stopped a year ago (10:38). Alex and Michael provide some players to keep an eye on, including last year's round-one leader, Hideki Matsuyama.
As the one year anniversary of the Covid shutdown draws closer and closer, Alex is Tuned In to reliving live concert experiences, while Michael is reliving childhood with the new "Tom and Jerry" movie (13:46).
This week's guest, Hardy, is a fixture at Boston's 98.5 The Sports Hub, where he hosts a daily golf show. Hardy shares his love of the game, and what it's like being a part of over 20 hours of live sports radio every week (17:10).

It was a busy week in golf, but at the WGC Workday Championship, Collin Morikawa walked away with a big win (1:43) as he and almost every other golfer wore Sunday Red in honor of Tiger Woods after his horrific car crash last week (5:23).
Across the world of golf we also saw Annika Sorenstam return to the LPGA and make the cut (7:03), Branden Grace takes an emotional win at the Puerto Rican Open (8:42), past guest Joseph Winslow wins big (10:10), and as Alex said last week, Happy Gilmore is coming back (11:02)!
This week the PGA Tour heads to Bay Hill for the Arnold Palmer Invitational, and Alex and Michael share some early picks with another star studded field (13:00).
In Tuned In, Alex is watching the new Montanabama Shore on MTV, while Michael watched a train wreck of an evening for the Golden Globes (15:00).
This week's guest is Korn Ferry Tour pro Austen Truslow, who shares with Alex his journey to being in the top 50 on the Korn Ferry Tour, chipping one handed, and what it was like to dunk a hole-in-one in Puerto Rico (18:03).

A wild weekend at the Genesis Invitational resulted in a Playoff victory for Max Homa and a big win for Alex (1:38). Plus a look at how the rest of the field fared, including past guest Willie Mack III (4:07).
A shout out to past guests Taylor Montgomery, who had a great week on the Korn Ferry Tour (9:01), and Aaron Olson, who announced a new job in a beautiful place (9:51).
Social media was abuzz with the 25t anniversary of "Happy Gilmore," and Alex wonders if a sequel is in order (11:26).
This coming weekend the Tour heads to Florida for a WGC event (15:04). And the alternate event, the Puerto Rico Open, once had this week's guest in the field.
In Tuned In, Alex and Michael were paying attention to the planet Mars, as the NASA rover Perseverance landed and has sent back incredible images and SOUNDS (18:30)!
This week's guest, Neil Johnson, a journeyman golfer, shares with Alex his story of gridding it out in the mini-tour world, and his new turn as helping out Money Q's Ryan French on Twitter (20:51).

It was a crazy weekend at Pebble Beach, as past guest Nate Lashley tip-toed around the lead, and hot-handed Jordan Spieth held the lead for awhile, until Alex's pick Daniel Berger closed it out to win at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro [Am] (1:41).
The PGA of America announced that range finders will be allowed at the PGA Championship, and Alex and Michael are a little wary of this idea (8:59). Plus the Monday Qualifiers return to full force as the Korn Ferry Tour season gets started (11:39).
The PGA Tour heads to the Genesis Invitational, and past guest Willie Mack III is in the field (12:30). The guys share some of their early favorites, and keep an eye on the Twitter accounts for Alex and Michael for their full cards on Wednesday (13:24).
In Tuned In, Alex watched the now infamous Brittney Spears documentary, and isn't that impressed (15:44). Meanwhile, Michael is listening to the new Haley Williams solo album, "Petals for Armor."
Food Network's Spring Baking Championship is starting up again on February 22 at 9PM ET, and host Ali Khan rejoins Alex to talk about life during Covid and everything else (19:41).
As the NFL season is now officially over, attention turns to college basketball and March Madness being right around the corner (56:24).

It was a weekend of low scores and old names at the Waste Management Phoenix Open, as Brooks Koepka claimed the win (at a non-major!) and Jordan Spieth had his best performance in years (1:54).
Across the Atlantic, the Saudi International, aka Euro Tour Money Grab, attracted big names from the PGA Tour, and resulted in the game's best sniping his way to the win (6:50).
Next weekend, the PGA Tour heads to Pebble Beach for the AT&T Pro-Am, but without the "Am." Alex and Michael share some favorites to put money on (8:43).
In Tuned In, Michael is finally watching the new Disney+ and Marvel series "WandaVision," and Alex is watching the new NBC Ted Danson sitcom, "Mr Mayor" (11:26).
After having Hawaii-based chef Noah Hester on the show a while ago, Alex turns back to the "Bradshaw Bunch" on E! and interviews Hester's better half, and Terry Bradshaw's daughter, Lacey. Lacey shares details of living in Hawaii, season 2 of "Bradshaw Bunch," and her golf game during this week's featured interview (14:00).
The NFL season came to a close on Sunday, featuring an incredible performance by Tom Brady and the Bucs. Alex and Michael break down the game, the halftime show, the ads, and Alex's horrific display on the prop bets (36:37).

Patrick Reed's win at Torrey Pines was full of controversy, as usual, as the Farmers Insurance Open field couldn't keep up with his game (1:47). Alex and Michael's picks to win came close, but couldn't close the gap come Sunday. CBS unveiled their brand new look and sound during the weekend coverage, with no complaints from this podcast (6:51).
Fans will start to return to the Tour at the Waste Management Phoenix Open this weekend, and Alex shares what he expects to be different after attending the tournament last year (10:40). Plus, some early names to keep an eye on as the party in the desert comes up (14:42).
In Tuned In, Michael has been able to move past the past four years and finally turn to some political satire in the form of "Veep" (17:07). And Alex is all over past guest and Barstool Sports personality Trysta Krick as she tries to "Survive Barstool."
This week's guest is a professional bowler who documents his journey on the PBA on YouTube and Twitch: Darren Tang (19:30). Darren shares what it's like to be making videos full time, how bowlers are athletes too, and how his golf game is going.
It's the first weekend in February and that means it's also Super Bowl Sunday, and Alex and Michael are all over the prop bets, including the length of the National Anthem, the color of the gatorade, and which song halftime performer The Weeknd will sing first (46:55).

It was a wild weekend at PGA West, as Alex and Michael almost had their first winner of the season, only to see Patrick Cantlay's Sunday 61 not be enough as Si Woo Kim closed out the win (1:59).
Meanwhile on the LPGA, Jessica Korda recorded the tour's fifth 60 on Saturday, and held on to win in a playoff on Sunday at the Diamond Resorts Tournament of Champions (4:05). Past guest Cheyenne Knight had a great weekend as well, finishing T5.
Willie Mack III, another past guest, had a great week, learning he'll be playing in the Genesis Open thanks to an exemptions from Tiger Woods (5:40). Tiger will be missing from the Genesis, and a number of other tournaments, as he returned under the knife for yet another back surgery (7:00).
Fans are in the future of the PGA Tour, as the upcoming Waste Management Phoenix Open (9:17). Is the Tour ready for this? Premiering at the Waste Management will also be a new second-screen gambling show from Golf Channel, and Alex can't wait (12:06). It'll be hosted by former CoL guest George Savaricas.
This weekend, the Tour heads to the iconic Torrey Pines for the Farmers Insurance Open, and Alex shares who he's eyeing to win it all (14:04).
Outside of sports, in Tuned In, Alex and Michael are watching some movies, like "King of Staten Island" (2020), and "Wonder Woman 1984" (2020) (16:13).
And in Pop Politics, America now needs to worry about two dogs messing up the White House lawn (18:24).
This week's guest is Nick Kumpis, a PGA Pro voted by Golf Digest as one fo the Best Young Instructors in the game. Nick shares the putting aid he invented to stay on line, and shares some tips for the kids on the course as well (19:35).
In the NFL, Alex's nightmare continues to come true, as Tom Brady leads the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a Super Bowl, proving that Brady is the GOAT of GOATs (53:15).

Another week in Hawaii and the putts were rolling in all weekend, especially from Kevin Na, who claimed his fifth career win at the Sony Open (1:50). Feel good stories from Nick Hardy and Chris Kirk also popped up atop the leaderboard (4:52).
Polo Ralph Lauren dropped Justin Thomas following last week's on-course incident (7:36), and Alex and Michael wonder if this will turn into a growth opportunity for either party.
The PGA Tour turns to The American Express at PGA West in La Quinta, CA, and as is becoming the norm, the field is loaded (10:15). Alex unloads a podcast exclusive pick, which may surprise some listeners.
Outside of sports, Michael is rewatching HBO favorite "Westworld," and Alex is getting ready to relive a 90's one-hit-wonder during Biden's inauguration on Wednesday (12:35).

Golf returned this weekend as the Sentry Tournament of Champions began the Aloha Swing. Alex and Michael break down the return to the winner's circle for Harris English (1:51), and the questionable language heard on the course from everyone, including Justin Thomas (3:59).
The Tour remains in Hawaii for the Sony Open, where Michael wonders in English can join the likes of Ernie Els and JT with an Aloha Swing sweep (6:34).
Outside of golf, Alex is focused on the snowfall that blanketed Austin, TX this weekend (9:11). Meanwhile, Michael can't look away from the goings on in Washington DC (11:28). The fallout of Wednesday's coup attempt has trickled into the world of golf, as the PGA and R&A distances themselves from Donald Trump (12:04).
